今天在病房
听见一位病人与实习医生的对话
Doctor: Pak cik boleh discharge hari ini. Nanti balik macam mana?
Patient: Saya balik naik motosikal.
Doctor: wah... pak cik macam tu bahaya lah. Kenapa tak panggil anak bawa balik?
Patient: Tak pe la. Dah beritahu mereka, kata nak datang jenguk tapi tak datang pun. Mereka sibuk la. I boleh balik sendiri tak pe. ( with sensed of disappointment)
Doctor: Anak kerja ape?
Patient: Masuk data kat komputer punya, tak tau la.. asyik sibuk je, I boleh balik sendiri tak pe.
Doctor: Pak cik tinggal kat mana?
Patient: ..... ( somewhere around cheras)
Doctor: Pak cik jauh la tu.. ada sesiapa boleh bawakan ar? agak bahaya la..
Patient: Tak pe la.. Dah biasa tu ( from patient's emotion, can sense that he's quite disappointed with his children and feeling like 求人不如求己)
Then the doctor turn to us and told us that yesterday she asked the patient about what the medication he currently taking, the patient said he forgot to bring. However after a few hours, the medication all was there in the ward. Doctor ask him how he get all that, he said he rode motorcycle went back home from hkl and took it. The doctor was (0.0) as the patient admitted this time with unstable angina, underlying DM, HPT, previous stroke and dyslipidemia.
At the moment, I have a deep feeling to think about the issue happen just in front of me.
Before leaving, I reminded the patient to be careful on the way going back later with motorcycle. Hope that he is in well condition all the way going back and reach home safely.
